“Once, while listening to my mother play the violin, I imagined becoming a musician like her. Since I was young, there has always been art and music in my home. Even today, when I am painting, I listen to music and the rhythm and melody come through in the finished work.”
Born in Seoul, Korea, Charles began showing an affinity for art at the age of seven. Encouraged by his mother, he received his first honor while still in High School; a gold medal in an international painting competition. In the early 1990’s he moved to Florida and his paintings quickly became sought after by regional galleries and were added to many private and corporate collections. Some of his recent works have been acquired by Shaquillle O’Neal and Michael Jordan.
